Leopold Mayerhofer

Leopold Mayerhofer (born December 4, 1955 in Tradigist , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ), executive officer and member of the Austrian National Council .

Education and training

Leopold Mayerhofer attended compulsory school between 1962 and 1970 and then completed his compulsory schooling by attending the polytechnic course from 1970 to 1971. He then learned the profession of pastry chef between 1971 and 1974 and did his military service in 1975.

Professional and political career

After completing his military service, Mayerhofer joined the police in 1976. He became a member of the Ruprechtshofen municipality council in 1995 and was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament between 1998 and 2003. In addition, between 1995 and 2000 he was active as a police staff representative in the Action Group for Independent and Freedom Party. Since 2003 he has been the regional party chairman of the FPÖ Lower Austria.

Leopold Mayerhofer has been a member of the Austrian National Council since October 30, 2006 , in which he entered through Lower Austria's proposal for election. His political focus is on security. Leopold Mayerhofer is one of three of the 21 members of the FPÖ National Council who do not have a speaker role in the National Council.

Private

Leopold Mayerhofer is divorced and has one child.
