Leopold Schmitt

Leopold Schmitt was a German lawyer and local politician.

Schmitt completed a law degree with a doctorate and then worked as a lawyer. In 1945, he was by the American occupation authority as Acting District Administrator of the district of Berchtesgaden confirmed in this office, which he then until the election of his successor, ordered on 28 May 1946 after an election of the County Council with 29 of 45 votes Karl Theodor Jacob on April 25 1948 held.
