The Lerchenfeld Glacier is located in the Antarctic and flows in a west-northwest direction between the Bertrab Nunataks and the Littlewood Nunataks . It merges with the southern flank of the Schweitzer Glacier . Together the glaciers flow into the Vahsel Bay . The glacier was discovered during the second German Antarctic expedition, 1911–1912, under Wilhelm Filchner , who named the glacier after Count Hugo von und zu Lerchenfeld-Köfering , a supporter of the expedition.
