Learning sponsorship

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A learning sponsorship is the collaboration between schoolchildren, students or companies with schoolchildren. Between pupils or students, it serves to promote less performers. Learning sponsorships ( learning partnerships ) between companies and students serve, among other things, for early career orientation .

Learning sponsorship in the GDR

In the GDR , learning sponsorships were mainly used to care for a poorly performing student by a more capable student. Both students came from the same class. The learning sponsorships included help and motivation in completing homework as well as in working out the learning material and were not limited to individual subjects.

In a survey of 1582 schoolchildren in 1988 and 1989, 10.7 percent of the ninth and 9.4 percent of the tenth grade students said they had taken on a learning sponsorship.

Learning sponsorships were initiated by the class teacher or the group pioneer leader and discussed during a pioneer afternoon . There were no commercial tutoring schools in the GDR.
