Les Monges ("the monks") is a mountain in the Provençal Alps in France .
Location and access
The mountain Les Monges is the highest point in the Massif des Monges and the Préalpes de Digne according to the French definition. It is located north of Digne-les-Bains in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department .
The summit lies on the western edge of an approximately one kilometer long plateau, which is bounded to the west and north by steep slopes. All approaches are long but without any technical difficulties.
