Coaching career
Following his playing career, Toshev took over FK Buxoro from his previous coach Khakim Fuzailov for the 2000 season . He stayed with the club for the next eight seasons and reached the semi-finals of the Uzbek Football Cup in 2001 and 2005 . At the same time he was briefly assistant coach of Valery Kuzmich Nepomnyashchi in 2006 for the Uzbek national team .
