Lesley Meguid (* 1979 in New York ) is a Swiss-American singer-songwriter who became known as a member of Redwood .
biography
Meguid was born in the USA as the daughter of an Egyptian and a Swiss woman. When she was nine years old, she came back to her mother's home with her parents and grew up in Zurich-Wollishofen. From 1998 to 2008 Lesley Meguid was the singer of the rock band Redwood , which had their breakthrough in 2007 with the top 20 album We're All Gonna Die . In the same year they met bassist Matt Thomas from the band The Feelers on a tour together . The two married and moved to Thomas' native New Zealand. Meguid started a solo career and released her debut album The Truth About Love Songs in 2010 .
