Lesquite Quoit

The Lesquite Quoit (also known as Lanivet Quoit or Trebyan Quoit) is a dolmen northeast of Helman Tor in Sweetshouse , near Bodmin in Cornwall , England . A quoit is a portal tomb from the Neolithic Age , which is only used under this name in Cornwall and Wales , in which several vertical megaliths support the only horizontally lying cover plate.

The dolmen consists of a sloping, large, relatively thin capstone measuring 5.3 × 2.8 m and weighing 12.5 tons. He leaned against an upright, 1.9 m high former bearing stone. A second upright stone is at right angles to the first and is 1.7 m high and 2.7 m long.
