Let It Go is a song by British rapper Devlin in collaboration with British musician Labrinth . It was first released on January 28, 2011 and is the third single from Devlin's album Bud, Sweat and Beers .

Music video

The music video for the song was first released on December 3, 2010 on Devlin's official YouTube channel. You see Devlin and his girlfriend, matching the text passages, who had an argument but are still in love. Devlin sings appropriately, "It's time to let it go" ("It's time to let go"). As of August 2012, the video had around 3.5 million views. Henry Schofield was the director of the video. A writer from The Sun described the video as "mind-bogglingly brilliant". Devlin said he was happy to be an actor one day.

Charts

Let It Go made it to the UK UK Top 75 and UK R&B Charts. In the R&B charts, they stayed in the top 40 for a total of 12 weeks. The highest ranking was 19th on February 5th, 2011. The last top 40 placement was two weeks later, on February 19th, 27th in the UK top 75 you entered 65th place on January 22nd, fell to 70th place the following week, rose to 59th place the next, and fell back to 70th place a week later, which is the last place in the top 75.

criticism

BBM's Maddie Daniels says the song sounds like a boy band song for the first 16 seconds , but once Devlin starts rapping, the song becomes interesting. Sarah Bargiela from entertainment-focus.com says that the song has a catchy chorus, good lyrics content and a great production, but the song lacks the “X-Factor”.
