Miles Leonard, who announced this, said: “It set new precedents for British urban music from what had been happening the year before. And it was a new sound; it sounded fresh, and like it came from the clubs. ” Parlophone , however, thought the song was too risky to play. In the end, however, the song was the first to be released.

The title also covers Prince Charles and Jean-Claude Van Damme and actors from The Hills . The song was played on BBC Radio 1Xtra by Tim Westwood and Ras Kwame for the first time on December 7, 2009 on BBC Radio 1 , the song was played by Zane Lowe, among others. Also Chiddy Bang released a version of the song.

Tempah told MTV News : “We tried out so many different things by going in the studio and having fun. It wasn't like we just put a drum & bass ending on it and then thought, done! We tried out so many things, guitars, reggae bass; we were having so much fun. ”and continued to describe his experiences in the studio.

On October 23, 2011 Labrinth released his single Earthquake , which he referred to as his version of Pass Out .
