Chiddy Bang was a hip-hop - duo from Philadelphia , USA . The group consisted of Chidera "Chiddy" Anamege and Xaphoon Jones (real name Noah Beresin ). Since her dissolution in 2013, Chidera Anamege has appeared as a solo artist under the name Chiddy Bang .

Career

In January 2010 they got a record deal with the Parlophone label , which belongs to the EMI Group . The first single, Opposite of Adults , was released on February 21, 2010 and entered the UK at # 12 in the UK Top 40 . The song is a response to kids from MGMT that is sampled in it. The title of the single (in German: "The opposite of adults") also alludes to the MGMT song. Through its use in the computer game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit , the title gained greater fame. The song Here We Go was used in The Sims 3 and in NBA 2K12 .

In early April 2010 they released their mini mix tape Air Swell .

In December 2011, Chiddy set a new world record for the longest freestyle rap to date : He rapped for over nine hours without a break.

On May 13, 2013, Xaphoon Jones announced his departure from Chiddy Bang in order to devote himself to his studio work. Since then, Chidera Anamege has appeared as a solo artist under the band's name.
