The Hubertsberg beacon is located in the Bay of Kiel on Bundeswehr premises east of the Hubertsberg village, which belongs to the municipality of Panker in the Plön district in Schleswig-Holstein .

The round white tower carries a red lantern with a round flat roof and is used by the Navy as a warning light when shooting, warning shipping in the shooting areas between Todendorf and Putlos with yellow or red flashing signals.
