The Klaipėda lighthouse (lit. Klaipėdos švyturys ) is a lighthouse on the Baltic Sea , in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda , in the Smiltynė district , 500 meters from the sea. The height is 44 meters. In 1796, a 54-foot lighthouse was built on an elevation north of the city. He was one of the first on the north-east Baltic coast. The lighting system consisted of six bronze reflectors . In 1819 the tower was raised. The lighthouse was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt in 1945.
