The Lewald Glacier is a small glacier on South Georgia . It flows into Wirik Bay 5 km west of Cape Vahsel .
Participants in the Second German Antarctic Expedition (1911–1912) under the direction of Wilhelm Filchner mapped him. Filchner named him after Theodor Lewald (1860-1947), ministerial director in the Reich Office of the Interior , who had campaigned for Filchner's research trip to come about.
