The Wirik Bay is a bay in the southeast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is located west-northwest of Cape Vahsel and northeast of the Lewald Glacier .
The name of the bay appears in this form for the first time on a map of the British Admiralty from 1929. It is probably named after Haldor Virik (1880–1958) from Sandefjord , Norway , manager of the Normanna Whaling Company from 1912 to 1913.
