Levon Mkrtchyan
Levon Mkrtchjan ( Armenian Լեւոն Մկրտչյան , Russian Левон Оганесович Мкртчян , Levon Oganessowitsch Mkrtchjan ; born March 18, 1965 in Yerevan ) is an Armenian politician of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation .
Life
Mkrtchjan was a member of the Armenian National Assembly from 2003 to 2006 and then chairman of the parliamentary faction of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. Mkrtchyan held the post of Minister of Education and Science from 1998 to 1999 and again from 2001 to 2003 and from 2006 to 2008. From 2000 to 2001 he was Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia.
Levon Mkrtchyan graduated from Yerevan State University in 1986 with a degree in history . From 1986 to 1998 he worked at the Faculty of History at the same university.

In 2009 in Sofia, Mkrtchyan called for the recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh and Javakhk , the Armenian genocide , the organization of the diaspora and the unification of all Armenian forces worldwide, and identified them as four main goals of the newly founded organization Hai Tad .
