Li Fuyu

Li Fuyu ( Chinese  李富玉 , Pinyin Lǐ Fùyù ; born May 9, 1978 in Shandong Province ) is a former Chinese cyclist .

Li started his career in 2005 with the Chinese UCI Continental Team Marco Polo Cycling . At the Tour of South China Sea he was seventh overall. In his second year he won the overall ranking of the Tour of Thailand . He also won the Great Westphalia Prize in Dortmund .

In the 2007 season Li started for the US UCI ProTeam Discovery Channel , from 2008 he drove for Discovery Channel-Marco Polo . At the beginning of 2010 he switched to the RadioShack team . He was suspended by his team after a positive doping test became known on March 23, 2010 ( clenbuterol ) on the occasion of the one-day race across Flanders and released after the positive B-sample. He was banned from the Chinese Cycling Federation for two years.

Since 2014 he is no longer active as a cyclist, but as the sporting director of the Hengxiang Cycling Team .
