Lia Hanus is a German singer in the lyric soprano vocal subject and lecturer at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz.

education

Lia Hanus comes from Meiningen and, after receiving several prizes at national singing competitions as a student, studied at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig with the music teachers Kern-Pöschl and Maria Venuti. After completing her artistic diploma, she switched to postgraduate studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart to study with Konrad Richter, among others. She attended master classes with Eva Randová and Hilde Zadek and was awarded a scholarship from the Bayreuth Festival . Currently (as of 2011) she works with the internationally renowned chamber singers Deborah Polaski and Hilde Zadek.

Career

The young soprano was able to draw attention to herself at numerous concerts in Germany and abroad and was hired by the Stuttgart State Opera for the production of Der Jasager / Der Neinsager by Kurt Weill. Her repertoire includes cantatas, masses, oratorios and opera roles in the lyrical-dramatic soprano subject, but also recitals.

She has made guest appearances in the Berlin Philharmonic, at the Prinzregententheater and in the Herkulessaal in Munich, in the Frankfurt Jahrhunderthalle, in the Glocke in Bremen, as well as in concert halls and opera houses in Spain, France, Poland, Israel and Austria and has been involved in several CD recordings .

Lia Hanus has been a lecturer at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz since 1998 . In 2002 she held a visiting professorship in Thailand at the invitation of Mahidol University in Salaya / Bangkok.
