Liane Michaelis
Liane Michaelis (born April 23, 1953 in Schönebeck ) is a former German handball player .
Liane Michaelis, who is 1.65 meters tall and weighs 63 kilograms, played for SC Magdeburg . In Magdeburg she also attended the children's and youth sports school.
With the GDR selection , she won silver at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal . In 1975 she became world champion with this team, and she was already in the GDR squad at the 1973 World Cup. She played a total of 54 international matches for the GDR.
