Liangshuihe

The "community Liangshuihe of the Mongols " ( Chinese  凉水河 蒙古族 乡 , Pinyin Liángshuǐhé Měnggǔzú Xiāng ) is a nationality community in the independent city of Beipiao in the northeast Chinese province of Liaoning . The community has an area of ​​112.2 km² and 6,790 inhabitants (2012 census), of which almost 20% are Mongols. With only a good 10% share of the area, arable farming plays a subordinate role in Liangshuhe's economy. The economic base of the municipality is livestock, especially sheep, and forestry. There are also some orchards.

Liangshuihe was originally called "Xiafu Community of the Mongols" ( Chinese  下 府 蒙古族 乡 , Pinyin Xiàfǔ Měnggǔzú Xiāng ). On November 1, 2011, Xiafu was officially renamed Liangshuihe.

Liangshuihe is the birthplace of the Mongolian writer and historian Injannasi (1837-1892).
