Lianne de Vries

Elisabeth Anne "Lianne" de Vries (born June 28, 1990 in Amstelveen ) is a Dutch soccer player . She has been playing in the Eredivisie for FC Utrecht since the 2009/10 season .

Club career

De Vries played for twelve years, most recently in the A1 youth, together with her twin brother in the boys' teams of Amstelveen Heemraad in their hometown. In summer 2009 she moved to FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie. Here she had to fight injuries several times, so that at the end of the 2010/11 season, in which Utrecht finished fifth, she was no longer part of the regular formation.

National team

In the spring of 2008, de Vries took part with the U-19 national team in a tournament, after which they were appointed for the first time in the squad of the senior team for two friendly matches against China . She made her debut at the age of 17 on May 4, 2008 in a 2-2 draw in Emmen . By September 2009, the defensive midfielder came to eight internationals in which she scored one goal. She was part of the squad of the Oranje team, which reached the semi-finals at the 2009 European Championships , but was not used in Finland.
