The club founded a women's team on March 21, 2007 specifically for the newly founded Eredivisie for women . This is to be run as a project for the next three years to make women's football in the Netherlands more attractive. The first trainer was Maria van Kortenhof from the Netherlands . The Sport Zoudenbalch Stadium serves as the home ground . On August 30, 2007 it came to the first league game. Just one week later, on September 6, 2007, the team set the league record for the highest victory with a 5-0 win against Willem II Tilburg . This result has not yet been exceeded, but has been discontinued by FC Twente Enschede and SC Heerenveen. After the end of the first season, ten wins and two draws from twenty games were won, securing third place out of six teams. With eight goals, Shirley Smith was her team's top scorer. For a long time they also played for the KNVB Cup . In the quarter-finals, the team was able to beat the women of the amateur club RCL 9-0, which was the highest competitive win in the club's history. After another success in the semifinals, the team reached the final of the tournament on May 24th, 2008, where the FCU women met FC Twente. The game was lost 1: 3, so that they only failed here just before the end. In the following season, seven teams started. The season was mixed. The best result was against the newcomer Roda JC Kerkrade with 4: 0. Against the eventual champions AZ Alkmaar , the team won two of four games 1-0 and played away 0-0 and 0-1. No other team did better. However, they did not manage to win against Willem II or ADO Den Haag . So the club had to be content with fourth place in the table. The Utrichter best attacker was the Dutch national player Lisanne Vermeulen , who scored five goals but had eight fewer goals than top scorer Sylvia Smit from SC Heerenveen . Despite the new coach, Mark Verkuyl , the 2009/10 season started mixed. The performance did not improve during the entire season, so that it was only enough to a disappointing fifth place. Only because of the slightly better goal difference one did not have to let SC Heerenveen pass, who were tied for last place in the table. With only seventeen goals scored, you had the fewest of all teams. Of these, Manon van den Boogaard scored four goals, making it the best of the club. Things went much better in the battle for the national cup. In the semifinals they defeated the heaviest Broken, Willem II Tilburg, 3-2 after a penalty, before they could win the final 3-0 against the amateur club Ter Leede. It is the first title win in the club's history. At the final on May 30, 2010, it was van den Boogaard who gave their club the lead in the first half before Monique van Veen and Mandy Versteegt tied the bag.
