The club has had its own women's team since the 2007/08 women's soccer season . The first trainer was Sarina Wiegman-Glotzbach from the Netherlands , who had previously had experience with the Netherlands' amateur women's teams. So she came with the reference as KNVB Cup winner of the 2006/07 season from Klub Ter Leede . She was also active as a player for almost twenty years and played over 100 international matches. Since it was common when the league was re-established that the new professional teams had to cooperate with an amateur club, ADO joined forces with Wiegman's former club Ter Leede. Since they won the amateur women's league last year, the Den Haag kickers were entitled to take part in the UEFA Women's Cup . In the first year of professionalism, it was important to get to know the league and the other teams and to find your own structure. In the 2007/08 season, the weakness at home was the main problem. There were only three home wins on the account, while there were four away wins. Although the team only lost five games, they also drew eight times and missed the opportunity for a better placement. At the end of the season it was only enough to rank fourth out of six clubs, although they had no more matches than champions AZ Alkmaar . With only 25 goals, the club also had the second weakest attack line in the league. The best shooter was Sheila van den Bulk , who scored four goals. In the fight for the KNVB Cup, the team embarrassed themselves in the round of 16 when they were eliminated with 1: 3 (0: 0) on penalties against the amateur club of Ste.Do.Co. The team also failed early in the competition for the UEFA Women's Cup after failing to win the group stage. For the new 2008/09 season, the team increased significantly. This season started with seven instead of six teams. The ADO women fought for the championship until the very end. This was then given on the 25th matchday, three matchdays before the end, when the team lost 1-0 to the later league winners AZ Alkmaar. Although there were theoretical chances for the championship until the end, the AZA women were no longer naked. On the whole, however, we could look back on the past year with satisfaction. With 42 goals scored themselves, a new record was set and only 24 goals conceded meant the second best defense in the league. With Lisanne Grimberg , Renate Jansen (eight goals each) and Jill Wilmot (seven goals), a goal-hungry offensive trio was created, which scored more than half of all ADO goals. With Jeanine van Dalen and Sheila van den Bulk , they also had the two best players of the season who were honored with the Golden Boot . In the second round of the KNVB Cup, they scored ten goals against SV Saestum and thus celebrated the greatest success in the club's history. In the next round, all professional teams were eliminated due to the Koninginnedag , so that ADO did not get far. In 2009/10 the club repeated the performance of the previous year, but was only second behind Alkmaar. A winning streak between the third and sixth matchday was particularly bitter, when the team had to surrender three out of four games without a point. By the end of the season, the women only lost two more matches, but that was not enough for the championship. In four games against eventual champions AZ Alkmaar, who won the league for the third time in a row, the team only lost one game and decided two in their favor. In contrast, the club could only win one game against SC Heerenveen , who were the last of the Eredivisie at the end of the season. With Lisanne Grimberg and Renate Jansen they again provided a good row of strikers. With seven goals each, it was enough for both of them to finish second in the goalscorer list. In the battle for the national cup it reached the quarter-finals this time. But with 0: 1 they had to admit defeat to cooperation partner Ter Leede and were eliminated.
