Renate Jansen (born December 7, 1990 in Abbenes ) is a Dutch national soccer player who has been playing for FC Twente Enschede since 2015 .

Career

societies

Jansen started playing soccer at SV Abbenes in her birthplace. After brief positions at VV Kagia and Ter Leede / HvA , she moved to the youth department of ADO Den Haag in 2008 . In seven seasons - the last three of which were in the joint Belgian-Dutch BeNe League - she played at least 140 point games, scored 95 goals and won the double in 2011/12 and the club cup again in 2012/13. In the 2012/13 season she took part with ADO in the UEFA Women's Champions League 2012/13 , but was eliminated in the round of 32 against Russian champions FK Rossijanka , where she scored the goal for her team in the 4-1 home defeat. The 2-1 win in the second leg could not make up for this defeat.

After the Dutch and Belgians went their separate ways again, she switched to league rivals FC Twente Enschede , with whom she won the championship in her first season in 2015/2016 . Second in the last BeNe League season 2014/15, Twente had to qualify for the 2015/16 UEFA Women's Champions League , which they achieved with three wins at a mini-tournament at home. In the sixteenth finals they met the German champions FC Bayern Munich . With a 1-1 draw at home, in which they scored the first goal, and a 2-2 away game, they reached the second round due to the away goals rule . In this they were eliminated by two 0-1 defeats against the Spanish champions FC Barcelona . Jansen was used in all seven games. As champions of the 2015/16 Eredivisie , they had to qualify again for the 2016/17 UEFA Women's Champions League , for which they again had home rights and reached the round of 32 with three wins. In this they prevailed with two victories against Sparta Prague to fail again in the round of 16 at FC Barcelona. Jansen was only used in five of the seven games this time, but was able to score five goals, four of them in qualifying. As champions of the 2018/19 season, Twente had to qualify for the 2019/20 UEFA Women's Champions League again , but had home rights at the qualifying tournament in August 2019 and was able to use this advantage to qualify for the sixteenth-finals. Jansen scored one goal in the three games. In the sixteenth finals, SKN St. Pölten was eliminated. Without their own goal, but with seven goals conceded, the end of the last sixteen came against the German champions VfL Wolfsburg .

National team

Jansen made her debut in the national shirt of the KNVB for the first time on April 1, 2010 when she came on for Kirsten van de Ven in the 1-0 win against Slovakia in the 82nd minute . A year later she scored her first two international goals in the penultimate test match before the Netherlands' first World Cup participation in a 7-0 win against Estonia . She was only substituted in the 76th minute when the score was 5-0 and initially scored 6-0 ten minutes later and 7-0 in the third minute of stoppage time. Shortly before, she had been nominated for the provisional World Cup squad . However, it was not taken into account for the World Cup. In the next few years it was only used sporadically. At the European Championships in her own country in 2017, she was used in four games, but there were only short appearances, like in the final, where she came on in the 90th minute. In qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , it was used in nine games, but only once over 90 minutes. At the World Cup , she only played a short three-minute game in the group final against Canada . Their team then reached the final, where they lost 2-0 to defending champions USA .
