history

The department was founded on March 10, 2010. The first coach was Rick de Rooij from the Netherlands .

The Eredivisie for women , the first professional football league for women in the Netherlands, has existed since summer 2007. The women's division of VVV-Venlo was only founded three years later, on March 10, 2010. For the 2010/11 season , it competed for the first time for the Eredivisie Championship. The department was created in cooperation with the amateur club SV Venray , which continued to play in the amateur field. The first coach of the new club was the Dutchman Rick de Rooij . He had previously trained Helmond Sport B1. The best-known players from the very beginning who already had experience in the highest women's league in the Netherlands were Lieke Martens , Aniek Schepens , Kika van Es , Lenie Onzia and Sandra Swinkels . Some of those named became national players even before their involvement in Venlo. Further players were sought through talent and scouting training units.

On September 2, 2010, the Venloers played their first first division game against SC Heerenveen . For the first official training, coach de Rooij called the team on July 22nd, 2010 on the sports grounds.

On June 5, 2012, the women's football division was dissolved and the Eredivisie was withdrawn. The team was dissolved and the majority of the player contingent joined the newly founded club FCE / PSV in Eindhoven .
