Liberto Corney

Liberto Corney Espallargas (born February 20, 1905 in Buenos Aires , Argentina , † 1955 ) was a Uruguayan boxer .

Liberto Corney competed as a boxer at the 1924 Summer Olympics in the lightweight boxing competitions . He lost in his first round fight on July 16, 1924 on points against the silver medalist of the 1920 Games, the Canadian Cliff Graham . With that he finished 17th. He later worked as the boxing trainer for the Uruguayan boxing team and founded the Olympic Academy in Montevideo .
