The Liberty Stadium ( German Freedom Stadium ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Ibadan , Nigeria . It has a capacity of 25,000 seats and is now mainly used for football matches. The Shooting Stars FC club regularly plays home games here.
In 1980 a total of seven African Cup of Nations games were played in the stadium , including six preliminary round matches and one semi-finals. In 1999 the stadium was one of the venues for the Junior World Cup . Six preliminary rounds, one round of 16 and one quarter-finals were played here at the tournament.
