The Librairie Philosophique J. Vrin is a bookshop in Paris . It was founded in 1911 by Joseph Vrin and is located on the Place de la Sorbonne . It is considered the largest bookstore in Europe specializing in philosophy .

Vrin opened another warehouse on Rue Saint-Jacques in the 1920s . Collections of the history of philosophy by French philosophers such as Pierre Magnard and Henri Gouhier are in his range, as are collections of ancient philosophy by Jean Pépin and others. In addition, collections on the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and other works on aesthetics and general nature are available.

The bookshop is featured in the novel L'Elégance du hérisson (2006) by the French author Muriel Barbery .
