The church is in the center of the village of Lichauri . Near the church is a free-standing bell tower, which, like the church, is made of carved stone. There is a Georgian inscription on one wall of the bell tower . On the east wall of the square church there is a window richly decorated with Georgian ornaments, on the west a portal.

Two old manuscripts are kept in the church, a Gospel ( Georgian Sakhareba ) and the so-called Shamni ( Georgian ჟამნი ).
