Lichauri ( Georgian ლიხაური ) is a village in the ozurgeti municipality in the region Guria in Georgia .
It is located in the Atschiszqali valley, north of the Nabada mountain, 5 kilometers away from Osurgeti . In the Middle Ages it was the center of the Principality of Guria .
2014 Lichauri had 952 inhabitants. The village has its own school and library . The Ekwtime Taqaishvili museum is located in Lichauri .
The village of Lichauri is known for the church of the same name . There is a fortress near Lichauri .
