Light output
Light output and light energy are colloquial terms that are not used in specialist terminology .
"Light output" can mean:
- the luminous flux ( English luminous power ) as the photometric correspondence to the radiant power (measured in lumens)
- the radiant power of the emitted light (measured in watts ),
- the electrical power that a lighting system z. B. in event or stage technology.
"Light energy" can mean:
- light as a form of energy, in contrast to kinetic energy, chemical energy, thermal energy etc ...
- the light amount ( English luminous energy ), the time-integrated luminous flux (measured in lumens seconds)
- the radiation energy of the emitted light (measured in joules ),
- the energy of single photons
