“Darling, we're killing the children!” Is a German docu-soap broadcast on RTL II in 2006 and 2007 in which nutritionist Alexa Iwan visits a family in which one or more children are incorrectly fed and one have an unhealthy lifestyle. So far, 13 episodes have been broadcast in the evening program. In 2008, individual episodes were repeated in the mornings.

Alexa Iwan sets up a special and individual nutrition and exercise program tailored to the children, which should be followed as far as possible by all those involved. Based on scientific research, Iwan and her team use a portrait of a child and computer morphing to create an animation of how the child could develop externally if it continues to eat and move incorrectly. This animation is later shown to the parents, on which, for example, the child's sallow skin can be seen.

At the end of the program, the family is shown another animation - this shows how the child could develop if it eats and moves correctly in the future.
