Liebster is a German-language studio album by the Danish singer Gitte Hænning from 1993. Mandy van Baaren produced this album and wrote almost all the lyrics and their translations from English and almost all music.

background

Hænning's last collaboration with Michael Kunze was the German-language single recording of the Jimmy Webb song MacArthur Park in 1989, which was also included on their 1991 compilation, Love Songs . At the beginning of the 1990s she moved to Berlin, where she hired Mandy van Baaren as the new band leader, and the Liebster album was based on their lyrics and, in some cases , compositions . The work received critical acclaim, but did not achieve the desired commercial success of their concept albums from the 1980s.
