The Liechtensteiner Leichtathletikverband (LLV) is the professional association for athletics in Liechtenstein .
purpose
The LLV promotes and disseminates athletics and maintains the reputation of this sport within the overall sport, and in the interest of the sport it works together with other organizations and institutions that practice athletics. The association promotes top-class sport and youth work and supports broad development, represents the interests of its members and provides them with services.
Cooperations
The association is affiliated to the International Athletics Federation (IAAF) and also to the European Athletics Federation (EAA). The LLV is a member of the Liechtenstein Olympic Committee (LOC). Partners are the Swiss Athletics Federation ( Swiss Athletics ) and the St. Galler Athletics Federation (SGALV). The association has undertaken to do everything possible to prevent the use of substances prohibited by WADA and Antidoping Switzerland , to refrain from prohibited measures and to refrain from any other doping-related practices.

The Liechtenstein Athletics Association currently consists of five clubs (as of the end of August 2017).
history
Until 2011, in addition to the LLV, the Liechtenstein Gymnastics and Athletics Association (LTLV) was responsible for athletics. In 2011, after 30 years of coexistence, the LTLV and the LLV wanted to adapt the structures to international standards and distributed the tasks, with the LTLV being responsible for gymnastics and the LLV for athletics as independent associations in Liechtenstein. Due to the structural change, the name of the Liechtenstein Gymnastics and Athletics Association was changed in 2013 and the LTLV became the Liechtenstein Gymnastics Association (TVL).
