The Liethenmühle is a former water mill in the Kleinhennersdorf district of Gohrisch in Saxon Switzerland . Today it is used as a forest inn and guesthouse.

Geographical location

The mill is located in a basin between Krippen and Kleinhennersdorf in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains .

history

The Liethenmühle was first mentioned in a document in 1572. It was in operation for over three centuries until 1900 and was then expanded into a restaurant with overnight accommodation, which was opened in 1901. During the GDR era, the mill was used as a vacation home for VEB Uhrenwerke Ruhla , before public catering and guesthouse operations were resumed after 1989.
