The Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Lithuania (the Lithuanian Code of Criminal Procedure ) (lit.Lietuvos Respublikos baudžiamojo proceso kodeksas , LR BPK ) is the comprehensive Lithuanian legal codification and main source of the Lithuanian criminal procedural law . The code was passed by the Seimas on March 14, 2002 and came into force on May 1, 2003 . The predecessor of the Criminal Procedure Code was the Criminal Procedure Code of the Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic of 1961.
