Gintaras Goda

Gintaras Goda (born June 13, 1965 in Labanoras , Švenčionys Rajongemeinde ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, judge and criminal procedure lawyer .

biography

Gintaras Goda graduated with honors from the Vilnius University with a degree in law in 1990 and an LL.M. from 1990 to 1991. -Studies with the German scholarship at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . From 1992 to 1995 he studied as an aspirant at Vilnius University and received his doctorate in law. From 1995 to 2002 he worked as a research assistant at the Research Institute of Law , as a civil servant at the Lithuanian Ministry of Justice , as an advisor in the Lithuanian Court of Appeal and Legal Department of the Seimas Office , head of the Chair of Criminal Procedure Law and Criminology, and so far as a professor at Vilnius University. As a lecturer at the Chair of Criminal Justice, he teaches criminal procedural law and criminal procedural law of foreign countries ( comparative law ).

From 2002 to 2005 he was a judge at the Lithuanian Supreme Administrative Court (LVAT). From 2005 July he was judge of the Criminal Matters Division (Criminal Senate) in the Lithuanian Supreme Court ( Lietuvos Aukščiausiasis Teismas ). He has been a judge at Konstitucinis Teismas since 2017 .

He was a member of the working group for the drafting of the Lithuanian Criminal Procedure Code (from 2002).

Gintaras Goda is married.
