Lietuvos aidas is a Lithuanian daily newspaper, founded on September 6, 1917 in Vilnius . The founder and editor was the future President of Lithuania, Antanas Smetona . Employees of “Lietuvos aidas” were Mykolas Biržiška , Peliksas Bugailiškis , Petras Klimas , Rev. Juozapas Stankevičius , Agr. Aleksandras Stulginskis (Lithuanian President), Dr. Jurgis Šaulys and the painter Antanas Žmuidzinavičius .

In 1990 the daily newspaper was reissued. In 1992 “Lietuvos aidas” had a circulation of almost 103,000 copies. The first editor-in-chief was Saulius Stoma , then Saulius Šaltenis , Roma Grinbergienė , J. Vailionis, R. Varnauskas, Aurimas Drižius and now Algirdas Pilvelis , owner of the newspaper.
