LIFT das Stuttgartmagazin is a monthly city magazine for Stuttgart and the region. Most of the magazine is sold in-house through retail and over-the-counter sales.

description

It was founded in 1991 by Gerald Domdey and Matthias Graupner when the previous magazine Live was sold to Jahreszeiten Verlag , publisher of the city magazine Prinz . Parts of the editorial team feared commercialization of the paper, so LIFT was founded. A relaunch took place in September 2012. The city magazine has since appeared in a new layout . The homepage was revised for the publication of the December issue on November 26, 2014. Since then, LIFT has also been available as an e-paper.

It reports on trends, news and people from Stuttgart and the region. Dates in the areas of film, theater, art, literature and parties appear in an event calendar.

To this end, the publisher regularly publishes special publications . The Stuttgart restaurant guide presents the best restaurants, cafés, pubs and clubs in the region and evaluates them in test reports. Stuttgart buys one presents selected shops and retailers. Stuttgart for children provides tips and addresses for parents and children. At the beginning of each semester, the publisher publishes the Uni-Tipp , a free magazine for students that is available in colleges and universities.

Stuttgart flies aus was first published in 2013 as a special issue with excursion destinations in Baden-Württemberg, and in 2014 Stuttgart celebrates came onto the market as a reference work for event organization. In addition, LIFT is responsible for the Long Night of Museums and the Stuttgart Night (formerly Stuttgart Culture Night ).

The magazine was sold to the Stuttgarter Zeitung Verlagsgesellschaft (STZ) with retroactive effect from January 1, 2016 . The sold circulation is 10,264 copies (2017, first quarter).
