The lateral palpebral ligament (lateral lid ligament) is a ligament in the area of ​​the eye socket . The lateral lid ligament lies behind the orbital septum and the tendon of the levator palpebrae superioris muscle . It arises from the eyelid framework ( tarsus palpebrae ) and attaches to the orbital tubercle of the zygomatic bone . It is weaker than the inner band of the eyelid .
