The Light Lake is a small lake in the west of Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located 300 m east of Thulla Point .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the lake in 1975 after the British limnologist Jeremy James Light (* 1943), who headed the British Antarctic Survey station on Signy Island from 1970 to 1972 .
