Liliane Susewind is a children's book series by Tanya Stewner from S. Fischer Verlag . The illustrations are by Eva Schöffmann-Davidov and Florentine Prechtel. The stories deal with human interaction with animals. So far, 24 volumes have been published.

Liliane Susewind, Lilli for short , is about ten years old and lives with her family and her dog Bonsai in a house with a garden. Her best friend Isaiah and the cat lady Mrs. von Schmidt live in the neighboring house. Lilli can talk to animals and make plants grow. Lilli loves to spend her free time with Isaiah in the zoo. There she works as an animal interpreter and helps solve various animal problems.

1. Liliane Susewind. You don't talk to elephants! (2007) - In the first book in this series, Lilli gets to know the neighbor child Isaiah, her classmate. Lilli is shy of other children and hides the secret of her psychic powers in order not to be laughed at. Isaiah, a crush of girls, also has a secret. He is gifted. In order not to be considered a nerd, he mimes the mediocre. The two become friends and exchange their secrets. When , while visiting the zoo, they heard that the elephant Marta was about to be put to sleep, Isaiah convinced the girl that only she could help the elephant.

9. Liliane Susewind. A penguin aims high. (2013) - Since the penguins moved into the zoo, animal interpreter Liliane Susewind has had her hands full: an entire enclosure full of problem children! Lilli is particularly interested in the little African penguin Yuki: He would love to fly - like a real bird. But penguins just can't fly! Will Lilli and Isaiah manage to fulfill his heart's desire anyway?
10. Liliane Susewind. You're never alone with friends. (2014) - The little bird is chirping very excitedly, he has observed something strange! Fortunately, Liliane Susewind understands the language of animals: the horse Merlin is held captive in a barn in the forest. Lilli is very worried: what's going on? 13. Liliane Susewind. You can't miss giraffes. (2017) - Lilli goes with Jesahja to his grandparents in Namibia. She discovers the proud animals that live in this fascinating landscape. When she hears that the farmers are allowing the wild animals to be shot by trophy hunters, she is completely horrified. And next, of all things, the giraffe that Lilli just made friends with that morning is to be shot! How can Lilli and her friends prevent that?
14. Liliane Susewind. A seal dives. (2019) - Holidays at long last! Lilli and her best friend Isaiah are going to the North Sea. A protection zone for seals has been set up on the coast. But unfortunately the local fishermen in particular do not adhere to it at all. And then suddenly a baby seal disappeared! Lilli has to find it. She embarks on an exciting adventure with the enamored sea bird Lotterich and many other crawling, trilling and barking helpers.

10. Liliane Susewind. A pony with nonsense in the head (2019) - A weekend at the pony farm! Lilli and Jesahja are looking forward to the sweet gang of ponies. But the four-legged friends are pretty stubborn! Especially the little pony Boss is always plotting new nonsense. But then a foal is lost when an apple is stolen at night. Can Lilli and her friends find it again?

On May 10, 2018, a film adaptation entitled Liliane Susewind - An Animal Adventure with Malu Leicher in the title role was released in German cinemas. All volumes in the Liliane Susewind series have also been published as audio books by Argon Verlag , read by Catherine Stoyan . The theme music was contributed by Tanya Stewner.
