Catherine Stoyan (* 1959 in Großenhain ) is a German actress and radio play speaker .

Life

The trained nurse Catherine Stoyan studied at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and worked at many stages in the capital, such as the Theater of Friendship , the Kunsthaus Tacheles , the Berlin Ensemble , the Berlin Workers' Theater and the Schaubühne . The freelance artist since 1999 also had engagements at the Schauspiel Stuttgart and at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . In the 2015/16 season, Stoyan will be on the stage of the Darmstadt State Theater . In 1999 she was awarded the Hersfeld Prize for her portrayal of Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare .
