Gabriele Bigott

Gabriele Bigott (* 1944 in Bydgoszcz ) is a German radio playwright - director and - dramaturge .

Life

After studying theater studies , Gabriele Bigott first worked as a director and dramaturge at the theater. In the early 1980s she wrote her first radio plays for radio in the GDR , after 1989 for Funkhaus Berlin and later for Deutschlandradio . Among her works is Sex-Märchen zur Nacht, a cycle of erotic stories freely based on the Brothers Grimm . Since 1994 Bigott has worked extensively as a director, dramaturge and editor of radio plays, initially for the Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg and after its merger with the Sender Freies Berlin for the Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg , where she was head of the radio play department until 2009.

Many of Gabriele Bigott's works have been awarded prizes. She received several awards for her adaptation, dramaturgy and staging of Boxhagener Platz based on the novel by Torsten Schulz , and the radio play was broadcast in 2006 as part of the radio play cinema under the stars .

Gabriele Bigott has two daughters and lives in Berlin.
