Karaputar ( Nepali करापुटार ) was a city ( municipality ) in the west of the Lamjung district in central Nepal .

history

Karaputar extended over the hill country east of Madi Khola 17 km west of the district capital Besisahar .

The city of Karaputar was created in September 2015 through the merger of the Village Development Committees (VDCs) Bangre , Bhorletar , Isaneshwar and Karapu .

The city administration was located in the former VDC Bhorletar , at the confluence of the Midim Khola with the Madi Khola.

In the course of the restructuring of the local level and the creation of the Gaunpalikas (rural communities) by amalgamating and abolishing the Village Development Committees on March 10, 2017, the city was incorporated into the neighboring city of Madhyanepal .
