Karapu ( Nepali करापु ) is a village and a former Village Development Committee (VDC) in the Lamjung district of the Gandaki administrative zone in central Nepal .
Karapu is located north of Midim Khola in the southern foothills of the eastern Annapurna Himal . Since September 2015, Karapu has been part of the newly founded city of Karaputar .
Residents
The VDC Karapu had 2,127 inhabitants (967 of them male) in 517 households at the 2011 census.
