Tanya Stewner (2010)

Tanya Stewner (* 1974 in Wuppertal ) is a German children's book and novelist . She became known with the children's book series Liliane Susewind .

Life

Tanya Stewner started writing stories when she was ten. From that point on it was her desire to become a writer . After graduating from high school, she studied literary translation in Düsseldorf, but broke off this course to study English, German and literature in Wuppertal. From 1996 to 1998 she lived in London, studied there at the University of North London, completed an internship in publishing and at the same time began to write the novel The Dreamer's Song . In 2002 she completed her studies in Germany with the title Magistra Artium .

In the summer of 2003, during her traineeship in an editorial office, she wrote the first story of the red-haired girl Liliane Susewind . However, her attempts to convince a literary agency of her children's novel failed. In summer 2006 she got the approval of the S. Fischer publishing house . Liliane Susewind. You don't talk to elephants! appeared in August 2007, 23 more volumes followed.

In August 2010 the first volume of her children's book trilogy Hummelbi: How do you wake an elf? . The second volume, Eine Fee ist kein Elfe , was published in February 2011, and Das Einhorn im Elfenwald in March 2012. In March 2011, the author's first all-age novel, Das Lied der Däumerin, was published . In February 2015, the book for young people was published, The Summer, in which time stood still .

In July 2015, the first volume of the mermaid series Alea Aquarius was published. The call of the water . Four more volumes in this series for ages 10 and up were published by 2019. At the end of 2018 started with Alea Aquarius. The Magic of the Mermaids a separate series for beginners, continued in 2019 with Alea Aquarius. A song for the Gilfen . On the occasion of Liliane Susewind's tenth anniversary , the album Liliane Susewind, composed by Stewner and Guido Frommelt, was released in September 2017 . My songs .

Stewner lives with her husband and daughter in Düsseldorf and works on other books for children and young people, as well as novels for adults and other music projects.
