Golden Book Pirate
The Golden Book Pirate is a German literary prize for young authors of books for children and young people that has been awarded annually since 2008. The jury of the “Author-Discoverers” of the Book Pirates Association consists of children between 8 and 10 years of age. Three finalists will be selected from a preselection and will be read in full by the members of the jury. Books submitted for the competition must have been published in the previous year and the author should not have published more than three books to date. The prize is endowed with 1000 euros.
