Dorit Linke (* 1971 in Rostock ) is a German writer .

Life

Dorit Linke studied landscape planning at the TU Berlin and also lived in Manchester , Lübeck and Glasgow . She is a contemporary witness of the Federal Foundation to Cope with the SED dictatorship , is committed to the political education of young people and is a member of the association authors help , which is committed to humanitarian and social issues. She lives and works in Berlin, gives writing workshops at schools, gives city tours to the locations of her novels, writes editorial articles for companies and offers digital literature formats for schools. She is a founding member and board member of METIS eV, an association based in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania that was founded in January 2020 to convey and develop digital teaching formats.

In her novel Beyond the Blue Border , which was nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize in 2015, is a school reading and is being performed as a play on several stages, she deals with the 1980s and the political and personal experiences of her generation in the GDR . Dorit Linke is the author of the Friedrich Bödecker Circle . She is the founder of onleli, a platform for online readings by German-speaking authors of books for children and young people.
