Liliane Targownik (* 1959 in Munich ) is a filmmaker , director and author .

Life

In 2003, in addition to her training at the University of Television and Film in Munich, she obtained a master's degree in Jewish philosophy from Tel Aviv University . The main theme of her films is the situation of today's Judaism in Germany and Israel as well as the complexity of German-Jewish-Israeli relations in the past and present.

She has lectureships in scriptwriting at the HFF Munich, the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, the University of Tel Aviv and the Sam Spiegel Film and TV School Jerusalem , she publishes in various magazines and newspapers and also produces TV features parallel to her films , especially in the field of culture.

In addition to German, she speaks English, French, Hebrew and Yiddish.
